May is a crucial month for all students as they have a full calendar of year end activities. May is also the final month of HTS Balvihar academic year. In order to make your calendar easier to manage, Please note these dates.

May 6th : Balvihar Class. Parent Teacher meeting at Satsangh.
May 13th : Final Exams - Annual Day Prep. 
June 2nd : Annual Day Rehearsal. Balvihar Registration 2018-19.
June 3rd : Annual Day.

May 6th will be our last teaching class for the year.  Parent Teacher's group meeting during Satsangh. This is a forum to discuss any questions, concerns or suggestions. Please attend.
May 13th will be final examinations for the first half of the class. Teachers will then proceed to start the leg work for the Annnual Day presentations. 
June 2nd is Balvihar Registration for 2018-19 Year. Followed by Rehearsal for Annual day. Please let your friends and family know if they are interested in HTS Balvihar to register on June 2nd. 
June 3rd is our Annual day. 3 pm - 8 pm. 

Satsangh : Our Religion 3 student, Shveni Vyas will present on topic Mira Bai. Our Parent Teacher meeting will start at 12:15 pm - 12:30. Please make a point to attend. If you need one on one time with teachers, It should be planned by contacting the Teachers via email. Thank you.

April 29th 2018 Sunday is our Field trip day! We are visiting BAPS temple in Robbinsville, NJ. We look forward to meeting all the registered families at HTS.

Timeline : 

• Arrive at the temple at 8:30 am. Bus departs at 9:00 am. 

•  Reach BAPS at 10: 30 am.

• Introductory Video, Darshan of Abhishek, Group Tour, Aarti.

• Lunch at Shayona Food court - Gift shop 

• Board the bus  12:45 pm.

• Reach HTS by 2 :30 pm.

                 

HTS Balvihar student rides free, parents or guardians will have a $20 two way ticket per person. We look forward to adding memories to a fun filled day!

Sunday April 22 promises to be a warm and sunny day for our Balvihar kids to  win prizes in a quiz, create colorful arts and eat South Indian cuisine for lunch. There will be no class - Just fun! Wear your gently used outfits for the color play that we all look forward to! 

Timeline : 

9:45 am Mantrochaar and Aarti.
10 - 11 am :  Quiz for Religion 1 & 2 in Temple Hall.
10 - 11 am : Arts and crafts in basement for Religion 3 & 4 
11 - noon :  Quiz for Religion classes 3 & 4 in Temple Hall.
11 - noon :  Arts and crafts for Religion 1 & 2 in basement. 
12 - 12:30 :  Satsangh, Lunch boxes distribution and Color Play!

Satsangh : Prize distribution for the kids who get the quiz answers correct!   Here are the topics to prepare for : 

Origin of Holi Festival
Festivals that mark Spring season.
Recite & translate any Mantra from our Mantra book by memory.
Five sentences in the language that you are learning at Balvihar.

Balvihar Menu : South Indian Lunch box for all HTS Balvihar students. Thank you to the organizers and volunteers of South Indian Cuisine :  Lavanya , Swapna & Lalitha for galvanizing the menu, catering and communications. All the families of South Indian cuisine group are requested to  contribute their share of finances and volunteer on April 22nd to make this festival a fun event for our kids. Please do not use temple bathrooms to wash the colors off. Let us keep our temple area clean.

HTS Balvihar takes its field trip to BAPS temple NJ, Sunday April 29th. All the families who have signed up, please make your payments as soon as possible.

Satsangh : Adishree and Manishita  Das will present on Lord Shri Ganesha. Hridhaan Kshirsagar will present on Lord Shri Rama.  We are blessed to have our bright Balvihar children share their oratory skills. Please encourage them with your attendance.

Balvihar Cafe : Owing to Rama Navami celebrations in the temple, our kitchen will be in use for evening prep. Balvihar Cafe returns in May!
