Yet another Balvihar year has arrived, and we welcome you back! We had a classic northeast summer and here's hoping you enjoyed every minute of it. We are a team, enriched by the efforts of parents who are volunteering their best at Balvihar and committed to the success of our kids. With limited resources, we've shown that we have the ingenuity to make the most of what we have.
For those who are new to this program, here’s an overview. The classes run from 10 am to 12:30 pm on scheduled Sundays encompassing the following:
· Religion: There are 5 levels and the Purn Vidya Gurukulam curriculum is followed. Jainism was successfully introduced last year.
· Language: Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, and Marathi are being taught so far.
· Indian Values and Culture: Guest speakers are invited to share their knowledge about Indian values and culture in a way best understood by the kids.
Additionally, important festivals including Dussehra (Raavan Dahan), Diwali (Lakshmi Puja and Diwali Art) and Holi (Play with colors and Holi Art) are also celebrated.
You can help by spreading the word about the Balvihar program to newer families and friends and sharing your experience.
Balvihar starts on September 20th at 10AM in the temple with registrations, carnival and parent orientation. You are encouraged to register online before 20th September.
Registration is open now and can be done by pressing "Registration Balvihar 2015-16 button below or on the right side of the page.
Best Regards
