Namaste Balvihar Families,

In these Auspicious days of Shri. Ganesha Pooja, We are excited to announce our HTS Balvihar registration opens today evening. Classes resume from Sept 13th. We will have a Parent teacher forum on Sept 1st at 7 pm. So please save this date. Registration closes on Sept 6 at 11.59 pm.

How will Balvihar function for our Kids?
As the school year starts, we are taking all precautions and continuing our Balvihar class online just as we did in Spring. Our students are very Tech savvy and resilient. We will however, make sure that our young kids do not have to sit in front of their screen too long. So we will make Language and Religion classes 40 minutes for Elementary level students.
For the Secondary level students, in order to challenge them, we will give them an hour long Religion class and enrichment options. These are the topics that we will discuss on Sept 1st. @ 7 pm. So please set your phone alarm!

Do you have enough staff to support Online learning?
We have continued support of 39 teachers who are all volunteers and Balvihar Parents like you. They are dedicating their Sundays to teach our children. This includes 11 youth teachers who are students graduating from our Balvihar and coming back to help us! We will be using their services to make your child's connection with teachers more interactive and fun! This gives them volunteer hours for High School as well.

How do I register?
In a few hours, you will see the registration link on our HTS Balvihar website and Facebook page. When you register, make sure that you read the form very well and fill it carefully to avoid errors. We will be using this information to allocate your child in to the right classes. The email you provide us will be the ID that our teachers and admin use to contact you. We appreciate it if you can share your child's email if they are middle schooler. This develops accountability.
Next -
Once you get to our HTS website,   https://www.hindutemple-lehighvalley.org  go to the donate page, choose the amount you will be paying and finish your transaction by using "Balvihar" option. You will get an automated Paypal email once your transaction is done. Please email this to [email protected] & [email protected]. This is very important.
We are working steadily to come up with many ways to make sure that your journey with Balvihar continues, thrives and progresses. The registration link will be put on www.Balviharallentown.org, FB page - HTSBalvihar and it will be emailed tomorrow to you all as well. You can make one quick payment using our HTS Website for Donate or use installment options. If you are concerned for any reason, reach out to us on [email protected] and we will work to make it convenient for you. Let us keep our lines open. We are all in this together.

Why should I join Balvihar this year?
We will leave you all with one thought, as the world around us changes and we worry about innumerable things that we never thought we would have to figure out in this phase of our lives, If we can give some structure to our kids and families, it will be a good thing.  Imagine two Sunday mornings a month with our entire Balvihar family chanting Mantra, Aarti, learning Bhaasha, praying to Bhagwan and connecting with our scriptures.
During Spring online classes, We peeked in to many zoom sessions for different language, religion classes and heard laughter, saw a costume contest, kids being able to see their friends on screen and still learning!

Graduate Presentation and Scholarship Announcement 2020

We were very impressed to see students as young as 6,7 years old figure out new ways to master online techniques, So we will move on with this year in the best way we can. Our Dharma needs our generation to stay connected, no matter how tough it gets. Our traditions needs to be nurtured no matter how inconvenient it might get.
