Orientation Day/Open house: September 13th (Friday)
at 6:30pm at Hindu Temple Society for all families.

Classes start on September 15th, Sunday.

$150 = HTS Membership for the year 2024
$150 = First Child Fees
$100 = per each additional sibling
$65 = Prasad & Festival celebration
$15 = Bowling Trip (Balvihar Fundraiser)

We are excited to celebrate our 47th Annual Aashirvad Day on June 2nd, 2024.
Please let us know if you can join.

Date: 06/02/2024 (Sun.)
Time: 2:00pm - 8:30pm EDT
Location: Hindu Temple Society, Allentown, PA

Rehearsal is on Saturday, June 1st from 9:30 am till 12:30 pm. 
Annual Aashirvad Day: Sunday, Jun 2nd.
2:00-2:45pm - Snack
3:00pm - Main stage event starts
6:30pm - Aarti
7:00pm - Dinner 
Thank you all who have signed up for volunteering for the Annual Day. 

Registration fee for Annual day is $50 for a Family of 4. Per person $15. Kids under 5yr are free.

This Sunday is our Balvihar Finals!
                           
We have arrived at the Final day of our Balvihar academic year 2023-24!! You are the best kids for studying a whole year of culture, language and theology and making great progress! We are very proud of you, kiddos! 
              
The class timings are same as regular Balvihar day. All kids should arrive by 9:30am for Morning Aarti.

All the kids should know the directives to what is expected by their teachers. 
Language class & Tests: 10:00 am
Dharma class & Tests: 10:50 am 

Please remember that all kids will be dismissed by 12pm. Balvihar cafe will be closed!

Teachers have already communicated to you the structure of the test and possibly be spending some time after the test for Annual day prep.
So, it's imperative that all parents talk to your kids and make sure they are all prepared for the Finals.

Our Annual/Aashirwad Day is on Jun 2nd. We have sent out two invitations for Annual day signup and Volunteer signup.

The Annual day event is completely run by Teachers and Volunteers. We would like to see all families be part of this and sign up for as many ways as you can to help our Balvihar event be successful! 

Annual day Rehearsals are on Jun 1st, Saturday. All students who are performing for Annal day have to attend the rehearsals. The class timings are same as regular Balvihar class. 9:30am till noon. You'll receive more details soon from respective teachers about the schedule for that day.

Welcome to HTS Balvihar family!
We hope you all had a great break this weekend. We at Balvihar are all excited to meet you all in about a week for our first day of Balvihar calsses.
  • Open House/Orientation session on Sep 8th (Friday). 
  • Balvihar Seva Signup.
  • 2023-24 Balvihar Calendar.

Open House/Orientation:  
We will conduct an open house (in-person) on Friday, September 8th, 2023, at 6:30pm at Hindu Temple, Allentown, for all existing and new families who are registered for Balvihar year 2023-24. We look forward to helping you navigate this year. It is advisable for all Balvihar families who have questions to come for this session so that we can answer any queries. This helps us move the regular classes on schedule.

Balvihar is completely a volunteer run organization. Teachers and organizers are all donating their time towards the service of Hindu Temple Society and its community members. We hope you become a part of our pursuit for peace, progress and prosperity for all.
We require all families to volunteer for at least one Balvihar date. Please be advised that this signup is mandatory for all families and there's a $50 fee for families who have not signed up for any Seva. We request you to signup while the spots are available now.

During Celebration of festivals, Dussera, Deepavali & Holi - Volunteers help with food, packing, distribution, arts - crafts and other logistics. Together we become the family that we want our children to grow up into. 
Balvihar Calendar update:  
September 10th, Sunday, will be our First day of Balvihar year. Please visit www.balviharallentown.org to download the calendar and Prarthana book. Parents will receive an email from Religion and Language teachers on or before Wednesday September 6th, regarding what to expect in the upcoming days ahead. Please make sure that you check your inbox and reach out to [email protected] if you do not have it by Friday September 8th. The typical schedule of the day:
  •  9:30- 9:55am : Mantra & Assembly
  • 10:00-10:55am : Language classes
  • 11:00-11:55am : Religion/Dharma classes
  • 12:05-12:25pm : Satsang

Hope all of you amazing Volunteers had a chance to rest your feet! Here are all of the pictures from the Annual Day event. Please thank Subhash Jha for his patience, talent and time. He has spent the last 24 hours painstakingly processing, formatting and uploading the pictures for our sake. The pictures are now posted in the Balvihar drive.

Please also thank Kamacharulu Ramoju, Sridhar Venkatanarayanan and Tushar Kshirsagar for patiently dodging all of us to take video of the entire event and editing it. We still have more videos to edit and once we upload them, we will keep you posted.
 
We would like to thank you the following teams who went above and beyond in taking care of volunteering tasks and who were very instrumental for the conduct of the Aashirwad day.

Thank you to all the parents who think of our temple as our children's cultural hub and devote their time and energy to make our Annual day into a successful event!

We congratulate the HTS Balvihar Graduates and wish them success in spreading their wings. Take all that you have learned in your time at Balvihar and make your family, Balvihar and Hindu Temple Society proud! Thank you for being such great role models. Your graduate presentations were so good that a lot of Balvihar families were impressed.

  • Only Registrations completed by Jun 4th, 2023, are honored with the discount (20%).

 HTS Balvihar Registration 2022-2023 June 17th Friday.


Where: HTS 4200 Airport Road Allentown.
What to bring: Check book / Online Payment.
When : Friday, June 17th 2021  6 - 8 pm.
 

What's new? :
For those who register and pay on June 17th, there will be a 10% discount.
Classes will be in-person the entire year, from September 2022 to May 2023.
Upon registration and payment of minimum $150, we have options for installments, $300 in August and the remainder in September.

 

Fee structure : 

$150 HTS membership fees for the year of 2022.

$150 First Child Fees

$100 per sibling

$25 Prasad
$20 Festival Celebration contribution.
