Dear Balvihar Families
A warm greeting !
For all those who missed the last Balvihar I made few announcements.
1) The theme for this year's annual day is “Indian Values and Beliefs”. Please follow the guidelines outlined by Anizeji. Most of the teachers should have already heard from her. If not please let me know.
2) We have Balvihar Bowling coming up on 1st March.
3) We are planning to hold a Hindi Bee this year. There are awards for the winners and they will be recognized in the community with their names published in the newsletter. You can find all the details about Hindi-Bee later in this email or on Balvihar Website. You can download the wordlist from Balvihar Website at www.balviharallentown.org.

Bowling Information
Balvihar Bowling is being held on March 1st, 2015. It is a favorite for both parents and kids. It's a great team event that we all look forward to. You can bring your friends along. We expect to have seniors join us this year as well. Get ready for lots of fun!!!
Venue: Allentown Rose Bowl, 805 N 15th St, Allentown, PA 18102
Time: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Price: $10 per person or $30 per family of 4.(Earlier it was conveyed $6 per family. Sorry for the confusion)
This includes shoe rental, bowling and snacks from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm.
Hindi-Bee InformationAll participating children should to go through a list (provided at Balvihar Website) and prepare for the following:
Level 1 - Hindi word will be told to them and they need to explain the meaning of word in English
Level 2 - Hindi word will be told to them and they need to explain the meaning of word in English + Matra's in the word
Level 3 - Hindi word will be told to them and they need to explain the meaning of word in English + write the word in Hindi
Level 4 - Hindi word will be told to them and they need to use it in a sentence (write in Hindi)
Teachers can do elimination round in the class and pick top 5. These kids can then move on to the stage round.
