Dear Parents,

The Balvihar Bowling day is March 1st, 2015. It is a favorite of both parents and kids. It's a great team event that we all look forward to. You can bring your friends along. We expect to have seniors join us too this year. It will be fun!!!

Venue: Allentown Rose Bowl, 805 N 15th St, Allentown, PA 18102
Time: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Price: $10 per person  or $30 per family of 4.(Earlier it was conveyed $6 per family. Sorry for the confusion)
This includes shoe rental, bowling and snacks from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm.

February 22nd is the last Balvihar class before bowling day. Please be prompt in reserving your spot. Jiteshji will be available to accept your bookings. Please understand that it helps us in making all the arrangements if we have a close to accurate head count. Thanks once again to our dedicated volunteers for doing this event !!

Dear Balvihar Familes,

Namaste!!

As we are coming to the close of 2014 and waiting to greet a brand new year, it’s also a time to pause and look around to view an experience in retrospect.

In addition to the regular sessions of Language and religion, this year we talked about Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, Diwali, Shlokas, Yoga Mudras, why religion is important and other such topics. These were very inspirational and enlightening concepts for the kids. The kids may not get it all instantly, but I assure you that this will go a long way with them, and you will be surprised to see how it will help them in difficult situations.

Let me once again emphasize that your kids are blessed to have very dedicated and knowledgeable teachers who take the extra effort to teach them at their best.  This effort is commendable, immeasurable and a great example for the kids and parents.  Just so that you all know, almost 50% of our teachers come to Balvihar just to teach kids. They do not have  kids in Balvihar and most of them are full time working parents.

While we do have such dedicated teachers, I expect a matching sincerity from the parents. They are the driving force for the kids. Thin attendance on random days is very demoralizing for the teachers and volunteers who are spending their valuable time in preparing. Please show your commitment just like you would, for any other classes. Please do not schedule anything until 12.30 pm on Balvihar days. If some kids leave before the session is over, it will set an incorrect precedent and others will not be able to give it as much importance.

I would also like to thank our many volunteers for spending their time towards this great program. Your efforts are highly appreciated.

I hear great things about the effects of this program from the kids that have passed out from Balvihar. Together we can make this program even better than what it is. If you have any concern/feedback, please email us aticanhelp@balviharallentown.org

On behalf of whole Balvihar team, I wish you and your family happy holidays and a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year. I am looking forward to a great year ahead!

Sincerely Yours
- Ashok Khandelwal
