Yoga Mudras are systematic hand gestures or finger postures. Literally, Mudra in Sanskrit means a posture/seal. Yoga Mudras symbolically express inner feelings and psychological states. They also generate various qualities such as fearlessness, power, charity and peace in the person practicing the mudras.

Hinduism shows the earliest recorded knowledge and analysis of Mudras in Upasana, Mantra and Nritya shastras. They have also been found on all continents, practiced by people of all religions.

Diwali - A Successful Celebration

Dear Balvihar Families,

May millions of lamps illuminate your life with endless joy, prosperity and wealth forever !! Once again, a very Happy Diwali to all !!

It was a great effort put together by all today, that led to a great day of Diwali celebration at Balvihar!!! I am sure everybody enjoyed and learned something new once again today, starting with artwork, followed by games/movie and Puja. It was possible only with the combined effort and support of all the parents who came forward. Thanks to all !!!

With this I would also like to add that there is always scope for improvement, so if you can provide your feedback be it positive or negative, it will help the Balvihar team to continue with more enthusiasm and improve as we move along. You can do so by sending an email to balvihar.allentown@gmail.com or put comments on here above, next to the post.

Thanks to all the Raavan making volunteers and the food preparation volunteers for all their help. This wouldn't be possible without your help. More parents are requested to come together as a community to help out. We cannot set a better example for the kids if we come forward and help out.
