Namaste,

All our homes are buzzing with Pre Diwali activity, we are preparing our homes with decoration, recipes and gifts for loved ones! This is such a beautiful time of the year. Fall colors that match Diwali decorations are settling in our backyards and the promise of a hopeful year ahead is slowly happening!

Please join our Morning mantra and Aarti class promptly at 9:30 am, we will be giving some important information regarding our Nov 7th Balvihar Deepavali celebration during Satsangh at noon. So use the same link for that.

 Satsangh :
HTS Balvihar has been collecting toys for our Diwali to Christmas Toy Drive that encourages all Balvihar kids to get one toy of your choice, gift wrap it, put a tag regarding the age group and gender for the child who will get it and bring it on Nov 7th. We will collect these and donate it to Lehigh Valley Hospital Children's wing on Dec 19th. This will be our 11th year doing it! We take great pride in following what our Dharma teaches into real life. Please join in our wonderful endeavor.

Seva Diwali is a nation wide initiative where we collect food for the needy, please donate items like canned edibles and put it in the bins marked in HTS lobby.

Please let us know the attendance for our Nov 7th celebration by clicking on the evite that was sent to you by us. We are able to organize better when we have a good indication of how many to plan for. We highly encourage you not to invite your cousins, relatives, neighbors to this as it is strictly for Balvihar students only. It is harder to do things during the Covid times and we do not want to have shortage or waste. Thank you.

Namaste,

Look at our beautiful Mataji! We celebrate her different moods, her various Avataar and honor her motherly love on all of us. Last Satsangh, we talked about every day of Navaratri highlighting a form of the female energy.
On Day 1, She is Shaila Putri - Daughter who wanted to be born to a father that appreciated her. Color to wear is Gray.
Day 2,
Brahmacharini- A girl who is a student. Color to wear is soft Blue.
Day 3 is Mataji as
Chandraghanta - She is a bride, she has done all the Tapasya she needs to do to marry Lord Shiva. She is his equal. Color to wear for purity is White.
Day 4 is
Kushmanda - Mataji is in creation mode, she gives shape to the universe by smiling and creating an egg. Color to wear for fertility is Red.
Day 5 is
Skandamata - She adopts  Skanda, she is in fostering mode. Color to wear is dark Blue.
Day 6 Mataji is
Katyayani - When injustice has to be corrected, Ma Parvati gets her courage using anger energies. She killed Mahishasura as this energy. Color to wear is Yellow.
On Day 7, she is
Kaalaratri - She is ferocious, uncontrollable and protects who are in her shelter. Color to wear is Green.
Day 8th
Maha Gauri, Here Mataji is a wise woman who defeats the ignorance and worries of decision making by granting Intelligence and tenacity to fight our issues. The color, dark Green.
Day 9 is
Ma Siddhidatri - As a mature woman of age, she has now raised kids, been a wife and helped the community. She has created kids who contribute to the goodness of the world. She is like your grandmother who has through good behavior and example gained all Siddhis, She can now bless you the same. Color to wear is Purple.

Happy Navratri! Besides 9 forms of
NavaDurga, we celebrate the different facets of goddess. 3 days of Ma Lakshmi, 3 days of Ma Saraswati and 3 days of Ma Parvati.

When : Sunday Oct 10th please follow the guidelines. Considering the weather, we will try to light up Ravana as early as possible. Hence we request punctuality.

On October 10th at 10am we will celebrate Dussehra, it will be a quick meet at the HTS parking lot, we will be giving each Balvihar student a boxed lunch.
You may remember that before Modi Toys became famous, we had them sell one of their first batches of Baby Ganesha at Hindu Temple Society at a discounted rate for Balvihar. This Dussehra, we are getting Durga ma books. They are perfect for our R1 kids but would also be a perfect gift for younger siblings, cousins or friends. The proceeds of this fundraiser will go towards HTS Balvihar. We have limited books, so if you are interested, reach out to us now to book your book.
In our Balvihar tradition, we will be selling greeting cards made by Ajai Ananthan who recently graduated from Parkland High School! This friend of ours is a special needs champion who expresses himself with arts. These are a great purchase for Diwali time, so get as many as you can. You will be supporting our local Indian American Special needs student. If you are interested in learning more about how to help Ajai, spend time with him, play video games, sports, learn art or teach something that interests you, Ajai is looking for friends! Let us know.
