Namaste,

We will start our Sunday class with a quick  reminder for healthy and clean habits to keep our earth and all the people on it safe and happy! Let us get together on time at 9:45 am to start the mantra chant and Aarti.

Students who arrive directly to the class and skip morning assembly will be held accountable for discipline. Balvihar is the first day of the week and just like any other class, we should make it a habit to be respectful, bright and punctual. This means that students should be at the temple at 9:40 am, be part of prayers and then head to their classes. Please take notice.

Community : Our Balvihar Parent Mrs. Khyati Patel along with the Mrs. Pamela Gupta have been keen to start a movement in Balvihar, we will follow them in creating less waste by bringing our own empty lunch boxes or plate, bowl and spoon, water bottle and tote bags so that we do not use the paper products from our Balvihar Kitchen! Let us make this happen folks! Starting from Feb 9 till April 22nd which is Earth day, we will put ourselves accountable for every smart move we make and we will bring the change that we want to see in the world!

Instead of doing our bit on April 22nd 2020, we will start now and check ourselves on Earth day! We can do this. Join us!

Volunteering : We always see the same set of teachers and parents sign up to volunteer for  am seva, pm seva, fruits and snacks. It is imperative that every Balvihar family shares the volunteering to make this a community work. Volunteering allows you and your children to feel connected, proud and involved. We request all families who have not yet taken turns to go ahead and sign up in the signup genius link sent to you in September. Thank you.
Satsangh :  We have among us a Balvihar parent who has studied Marketing, Law, Economics, Real Estate and Business. We know a lot of our students find these subjects interesting. We will hear from Shri.Tejas Gosai why he decided to pursue those topics and how you can ask him all the questions you have about these fields. We can find mentors for our kids right here in Balvihar, so we are excited to hear him speak!
Our Balvihar has been blessed with so many fathers who not only teach, volunteer, clean, assemble and cheer us they are the cornerstone of our success at HTS. We thank you.

Namaste,

Once a student graduates from HTS Balvihar, they have an option to join Hindu Youth Association. This group is HTS activity which is run to provide any student above the age of 13 to make friends, be helpful for the community,  volunteer and make friends along the way.

Please read this message from HYA for all HTS Balvihar Families :

Hindu Youth Association (HYA) provides a great opportunity for young kids to extend their gratitude towards their parents by hosting the HYA - Parents Appreciation Day event. HYA volunteers manage the event involving - some performance, some games, and food for the parents. We are extending this opportunity to Balvihar kids and families also.
Performances can be anything that you (kids) want to dedicate to your parents, it could be dance, song, play, play a musical instrument, poem, speech or any idea that you might have. So it's kind of a stage for you (kids) to express yourself.  Each performance should be between five to ten minutes. You can work alone, or with a group. - Please specify in the form.
Some Games - HYA officers are working on finalizing some game for all parents, if you have any idea, please feel free to let me or any HYA officer know.
Food - Let's give break to your parents, HYA Volunteers will organize and serve food to parents.

We will be ordering food from outside. There is no charge to any participants or parents.

This year Parent Appreciation Day is on February 8th, 2020 at Hindu Temple Society from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Please confirm that you will be attending and also let us know what performance you will be doing by filling this form.
This form is due by Tuesday 2/4/2020 (noon) so that we can plan things.
