Namaste,

The name Yugadi is derived from the Sanskrit words Yuga which means era and Adi which means beginning. Yugadi falls on Chaitra Shuddha Paadyami which means the first day of the bright half of Chaitra month.

Monday, April 12 / 13 is Yugadi, Navreh, Gudi Padva, Cheti Chand, Sajibu Nongma Panba and we wish all our Balvihar Families a Nutan Shubh Varsha! Since we follow the Lunar Calendar to mark our festivals, the auspicious hour or date to celebrate is determined by what time Pooja can be done.

Please join us at 9:30 am for Mantra and Aarti followed by links provided by your teachers for Language and Religion classes. We will meet at this link again at noon for Satsangh!

Time: Apr 11, 2021 09:30 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Satsangh :
To celebrate the New Year Festival on Monday, we will discuss the traditions of what is also termed by many as the Hindu New Year. We encourage students to share what you do for New beginnings. We will learn about the lesser known traditions of Sindhi, Kashmiri and Manipuri regions so that we are further united in our understanding within diversity of Sanatan Dharma.
