Dussehra also known as Dasara, Dashahara, Dussehra, Navratri or Durgotsav is one of the most important Hindu festivals celebrated in all parts of India. This festival marks the victory of good over bad. The celebration lasts for a period of 10 days, where first nine days are considered Navratri followed by the main celebration of Dussehra on the 10th day. The nine days are considered days of fight between good and bad while the 10th day is the celebration of victory of good over bad.

At Balvihar, we will get together along with parents and kids to celebrate this event on October 5th. There will be a regular class schedule followed by 'Raavan Dahan'. Some parents have graciously agreed to make the Raavan and prepare food (chole- chick peas and rice with brownies) which will be free for the Balvihar kids. Parents are welcome to buy.

Please Note:
1. Registration Deadline - September 28th is the last date without late fee.
2. Jainism - Introduced new. Please see below.
3. Dussehra celebration coming up- October 5th
4, Diwali celebration coming up - October 26th

Balvihar is a great means to help our children make the right choices in life which will eventually determine their future. Let's come together as a community and make this happen.

Sincerely,
Ashok Khandelwal
